Shop Steward of the Month

For many years, IBEW Local 77 recognized outstanding Shop Stewards through our Shop Steward of the Month program. Shop Stewards are the backbone of our Union: serving as advocates, problem-solvers, communicators, and leaders in workplaces across our jurisdiction.

We are excited to relaunch this program and highlight the exceptional work being done by Stewards throughout Local 77. Nominations can be submitted by any member, Business Representative, officer, or coworker who has witnessed a Steward making a positive impact. We encourage everyone to take a moment to recognize the Stewards who help make our Union stronger every day. July 2026 Shop Steward Spotlight

Megan Wilson

IBEW Local 77 is proud to recognize Megan Wilson of Grant PUD for her outstanding service as a Shop Steward.

Although this is Megan's first year in the role, she has quickly become a trusted advocate for members throughout her unit. From handling grievances and participating in Labor Management meetings to helping organize Framatome Operations and supporting contract negotiations, Megan consistently steps up wherever help is needed.

Her dedication extends beyond her own workplace. She regularly assists with unit meetings, helps welcome and sign up new members, volunteers at Local 77 events, and serves as a resource for fellow Stewards and members alike.

According to Business Representative Kelly Schwint, Megan's leadership, integrity, and commitment have helped create a healthier and more collaborative workplace culture. He credits her with being someone who not only solves problems but also helps prevent them by keeping members focused on fairness, opportunity, and the bigger picture.

One of Megan's greatest strengths is knowing when to seek guidance and work collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for members. Her willingness to learn, volunteer, and serve others has already made a meaningful impact on her coworkers and the Local as a whole.

Thank you, Megan, for your dedication to the members of IBEW Local 77.
